staying creative

Everyone needs to maintain a clear and calm head at some point in their lives under the amount of pressure. The reason is that you could not have to be creative in having the stress of deadlines or some other circumstances. But, the question arises here: how you can stay creative when you are up against it?

Here we have created a few ideas for you to stay creative

1. SET SMALLER GOALS AND DEADLINES

Deadlines may appear to be the destruction of all the creative struggles, but it can be difficult to focus on your abilities to complete the task without a schedule and an endpoint of your objectives. There will be more chances that you procrastinate without having a strict deadline. However, there are low chances to get the work done by just a large and single looming deadline.

Setting smaller goals and deadlines allow you to categorize your work to measure your progress as you complete each task. Smaller goals and deadlines are a way to reduce the stress of completing a bigger goal and let you give attention to the specific task at hand.

2. REDUCE DISTRACTIONS

Another point worth noting to stay creative is to manage your distractions besides managing your task. Distractions reduce productivity and also kill creativity when your deadline is approaching. People are more likely to be creative when they have the ability to focus on one thing alone at a time.

In your workplace, people also play a role of distraction besides social media, or TV etc. They may come to you to ask a question or chat in your working area. Having such friends or colleagues around you can obviously impact your ability to do work when you are up against a deadline. Therefore, ensure that your workplace is free from all the distractions to stay active.

3. LOOK FOR INSPIRATION

Inspiration should come easily for the people who are working on a mission. Ideas get produced through the work itself and consistent hard work leads a person to the solution. When you are under pressure, inspiration is difficult to retain as it is highly important for creativity. One of the most important things to note is that you can take a break if you are struggling for inspiration. Watch your favorite TV show, listen to a piece of music, walk outside, or anything else that allows your brain to relax.

4. TALK CONSTRUCTIVELY

When you are under pressure, talking to your colleagues can make you think less creatively. People on any mission preferred to be alone instead of talking to their colleagues. These loosely focus group meetings with friends or colleagues do not produce any good and creative thinking. However, talking about any single problem with your colleague led to much more creativity. Consider finding an individual that can understand your problems if you are struggling with having good ideas.

5. TAKE BREAKS

You can end up feeling guilty about taking a short break when you are working under pressure and deadlines are approaching. Taking breaks during your task is extremely important to recharge your mental, physical as well as emotional barriers that make you creative. You should get up from your desk every hour to continue working for the maximum amount of time. You can build the habit of taking a coffee break, have your lunch, or stretch your body for some time during a small break. You feel less tired both mentally and physically which leaves you more capable to work for long hours.
